Hello All,

Lena and I have just returned from Saratoga Springs, New York, where we performed at the "National Dance Museum Charity Gala". EnTitled - Circue de Danse!

It was an amazing night with Hundreds of New Yorks High society turning out for the Annual fundraising event...

Lena and I did not know of the existince of this wonderful museum, until we were invited 2 years ago to perform at their Gala, at which they inducted Arthur and Katherine Murray into the museum's Halls of Fame. Indeed it was a great honor for us to be invited back this year for the extravagent event.

Some of the Guests included,  MaryLou Whitney and John Hendrickson, Susan Lucci ( "All My Children" Emmy winner), and many more....

The Gala was handled expertly by the Committee headed by President and Chairperson Michelle Riggi, featuring an auction with several fabulous trips, Jewelry, Vespa, dinners and clothing..

We were joined on the dance floor by the talented Momix dancers with there gravity defying, acrobatic, breakdance routine done on Yoga workout balls.  The orchestra for the evening was the wonderfull "Bob Hardwick" sounds, which kept everyone dancing until the morning hours..

I was honored to open the evening with a formal dance with Presdient, Michelle Riggi, who in her custom designed Ring-mistress gown looked beautiful...I also partnered Susan Lucci for some fun latin dances and was surprised to hear of her keen interest in Dancing with the Stars!

Lenique donated a custom gown for the auction and the BBC donated 2 tickets to the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars..

It was a fantastic night, and we thank Michelle and Ron Riggi, our Arthur Murray Local Franchisee, Leslie Valencia, for another great visit to Saratoga Springs and the National Museum of Dance....

The world premiere of a new theatrical dance show took place on July 18th 2008 at the State Theatre in New Jersey.

Wow, what a show. Informative , entertaining and lots of fun for the audience...

From the moment it started, it was evident that this would not be just a dance show. The Stage became a dance studio, with Nick Kosovich,("Dancing with the Stars" dancer and choreographer) masterfully teaching and entertaining us with his smooth english/australian accent. It was a nice surprise to see him with the only speaking role in the whole show. A first i found out! Although, i personally would have loved him to dance more instead of few moments where he teased us with his awesome moves.

The show featured several dance couples form the tri-state area, most notably Jose Decamps, Joanna Zacharewic, Jt thomas and Thomas Meilnicki, Aslo the Hustle champions Lorianne Greenhouse and Kelvin Roche.. The costumes were awesome and I was impressed by the amazing gowns from the clothing company LeNique..They were in the program as being sponsors for the show... Lena & Nick Thank you, as they were HOT HOT HOT (not your regular inexpensive Broadway costumes...)

The show took us on a journey to learn the dances and the types of people that dance. Competitivly, socially and all types of people. Nick explained the dances and some of the things we should see in good ballroom dancing. As well as some of the history. I especailly liked him when he came out and sat with the audience to explain the costume industry which was followed by some of the dance business's that are involved, hair and makeup, costumes, shoes and even Bobby tan with Tanning products..

The second act featured a mini competition where we all got to vote!  The audience went crazy for the Kids.. My favorites... they were amazing.. Nick Kosovich this time acted as the Master of ceremonies, getting everyone in the theatre up to dance and cheer for the couples...

I want to thank Eddie Simon and Wes Brustrad for writing, developing and putting the production together. I hope that they can take it to broadway , I think the people will Love it.. I know , My daughter, Husband and I did... Its a great show for the whole family..

Thanks Nick for coming back to New York.. we miss you on Dancing with the Stars!

regards

Sarah James, NYC
